Classical mechanics is good only up to a certain point, then you need quantum mechanics when you get down to a lower scale. For example, classical mechanics says that kinetic energy is 1/2mv^2 where as when you reach the speed of light, KE=mc^2. It's not because you found a cheaper way to break a bound that you'll end up with more energy than the system has to offer. [endtext]
